Meeting 2 - Natural Surroundings

Had a nice meeting with Natural Surrounding. Putting the concepts of the logo graphic on the back burner and focusing on branding their name as a logo for now. They want to start making stickers, and they are looking to use one of my logo graphics for Earth Day. Time to come up with a number of thumbnails :)

Here are my other two design concepts. One of a plant and its leaves holding the earth, and the other as a yin yang symbol with a tree on top and the continents on the bottom.

Google Analystics!

I have now coded Ken Jones Ski Mart and Snowboard Jones to run Google Analytics! Today I was looking at all the breakdowns Google Analytics tracks visitors on the websites. IT IS AWESOME!
Google Analytics tracks everything from the number of visitors and average time spent on the website/each page, to how visitors navigated to your site, what devices and browsers visitors were on, where in the world visitors were located, the pages that are viewed the most, etc.
So many breakdowns of tracking information! WOW!
I'm glad I know how to use it now, because websites need to use this tool!

Here is my first concept of the logo graphic swatches for Natural Surrounding. I chose to show environment colors. Another design concept will be posted by the end of the week followed by styles and layout of the logo text with each graphic!

Meeting - Natural Surroundings

I have a new freelance project for a friend of the family that owns his own business called Natural Surroundings. They have a pretty well set up website, and are looking for some branding. I have a few ideas I came up with a few weeks ago when I was offered the job. Excited to meet about the job tomorrow and get it going!

Ken Jones Ski Mart 2011

Finished the changes I wanted to make on the Ken Jones Ski Mart website. Just in time for the season to end. Next to come is to update the site with all the 2011-2012 product we will be selling in our store and online next season. An idea we have for the site are to add videos with associates talking about about some of the product to our customers. Kinda like an someone selling and explaining the products to customers online. Another idea I have, to make the shopping experience easier for customers online, is to add on each item page something that directs customers to "people who bought this product also bought..." and show product images that navigate to the product. Maybe call it "match it up" or something catchy and cool.

Now onto making the rest of the changes to the Snowboard Jones website before the season is over and I start putting up new product!
